About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team in Washington, DC. This role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to women and families during one of the most important experiences of their lives.
The patient population includes:
- Females of childbearing age (17+ weeks gestation)
- Laboring patients
- Scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage)
- Triage patients with pregnancy-related concerns
Unit activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C-section).
Common equipment: Fetal Monitors, Cerner and Fetalink documentation systems.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
- Perform assessments, monitor fetal heart tones, and interpret electronic fetal monitoring.
- Support patients and families through education, advocacy, and emotional care.
- Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, anesthesiologists, and NICU teams.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and maintain readiness for rapid interventions.
Requirements

Licensure/Certifications
- Current RN license in DC (or compact license) β required
- BLS & ACLS β required
- NRP β required
- AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring β required

Experience
- Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery RN experience β required
- LDRP and postpartum experience β preferred
- Strong skills in Cerner and Fetalink documentation
Schedule & Pay
