Job Posting: Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) – Washington, DC

Location: Washington, DC
  Schedule: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night)
Pay Rate: $55–$58 per hour
Licensure Requirement: Active DC RN license required

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Washington, DC. This role requires a skilled and compassionate nurse with recent dialysis experience, who is comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality dialysis care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dialysis treatments following established protocols and patient care standards.

  • Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment to assess for complications.

  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and adjust patient treatment plans.

  • Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, home care, and treatment goals.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and treatments.

  • Ensure infection control and safety measures are followed at all times.

Schedule & On-Call Requirements:

  • Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts, rotating between days and nights.

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW).

  • On-Call: A minimum of 5 overnight on-call shifts per month, including 1–2 weekend 24-hour on-call shifts. On-call staff will be utilized first as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent dialysis experience required. Pediatric dialysis experience is preferred but not required.

  • Licensure: Active DC RN license required before the start date.

  • Certifications:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required

    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Required
