About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Nurse to join our team and support the health and wellness of students. The School Nurse will play a vital role in providing basic health care, managing chronic conditions, promoting preventive health practices, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff.
- Assess and manage chronic and acute health conditions among students.
- Administer medications and monitor students for side effects.
- Conduct health screenings, manage immunization records, and ensure compliance with health requirements.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) for students with specific medical needs.
- Provide health education and guidance on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Document and maintain accurate student health records in compliance with confidentiality policies.
Qualifications:
- License: Must hold a current DC LPN or RN license.
- Certification: Current BLS (CPR and AED) certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric care preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with a dedication to student well-being and safety.
Compensation: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
